Program description
The accredited bachelor’s program in Islamic studies offers a unique scientific foundation, under the guidance of a professional’s educational staff in Islamic jurisprudence, Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, Hadith and its sciences, and Islamic jurisprudence, principles of Islamic faith and advocacy, Arabic language and literature, while providing a pioneering educational environment in accordance with international quality standards, linking knowledge and applications. Authenticity and modernity, to prepare excellent cadres of male and female graduates who possess high intellectual abilities, high professional ethics, and advanced technical expertise, which allows them the ability to participate effectively in community service and meet the needs of the labor market locally and regionally. - PLO 1: To explain the basic sources of Islam and show the characteristics, effects and values of these sources.
- PLO 2: The student should analyze the legal texts, know their meanings, and derive the legal rulings from it.
- PLO 3: To prepare various scientific researches according to the rules of research methods.
- PLO 4: To use modern means of presentation, research, analysis, and the ability to exchange information with specialists in Islamic sciences and other sciences.
- PLO 5: To make better use of the Islamic scientific heritage in addressing contemporary issues and to apply the valuesin oneself and spread them among others in a captivating and influential manner to serve society.

Eligibility Criteria
General Eligibility Criteria for the Program:
- High School Qualification:
- Students must hold a high school certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Non-MOE curricula students must meet equivalency standards as set by the UAE Ministry of Education.
- Arabic Proficiency:
- For MOE Curricula:
- Students applying for programs taught in Arabic must have achieved a pass score in the Arabic course in high school.
- For Non-MOE Curricula:
- Arabic proficiency is required only if the student’s teaching language in high school was not Arabic.
- Accepted Arabic proficiency tests:
- JU placement test
- EMSAT: 1000 or equivalent
- For MOE Curricula:
- Conditional Admission:
- Students failing to meet language or academic requirements will be admitted conditionally and must:
- Complete preparatory or remedial courses within the first two semesters.
- Pass required competency tests during the conditional period.
