Kiswa Clothing and Shoe Donation Campaign

By Jumeria University

Jumeira University invites students and the wider university community to participate in Kiswa: Clothing and Shoe Donation Campaign, an initiative that highlights the role of communities in recycling and promoting responsible consumption.

Running from 15 to 27 October 2026, the campaign encourages everyone to donate pre-loved clothes and shoes, giving usable items an opportunity for a new life instead of letting them go to waste. Through small, thoughtful actions, the university community can contribute to reducing textile waste and encouraging more sustainable habits.

Organised by the JU Leadership and Entrepreneurship Clubs, the initiative aims to raise awareness about the value of recycling and the positive impact of collective action. Every donation is an opportunity to make better use of existing resources and support a more conscious approach to consumption.

As part of the campaign, Jumeira University will host a Kiswa Talk on Campus on 28 October 2026, offering an opportunity to learn more about the initiative and the importance of community participation in recycling.

Students and members of the university community are encouraged to take part by donating their pre-loved clothes and shoes before the collection closes.

Donate. Engage. Create change. Together, small contributions can help create a more sustainable future.
