Academic integrity is the backbone of quality education. To reinforce this value, JU is hosting Plagiarism Awareness Day, a dedicated event focused on building a culture of honesty, originality, and ethical academic practices.
This initiative aims to encourage students and faculty to reflect deeply on the importance of producing authentic work, citing sources responsibly, and understanding the long-term impact of plagiarism on academic reputation and professional growth.
Students and faculty members are invited to present short, insightful talks related to:
- Academic honesty
- Citation ethics
- Responsible use of information
- Plagiarism prevention techniques
- Standards of ethical research
It’s an open platform to share knowledge, highlight challenges, and discuss best practices that can improve academic writing and research quality across the institution.
Faculty are also encouraged to contribute by presenting or participating in discussions, and sharing their experience and strategies for maintaining integrity in teaching and research.
Participation Rules & Guidelines
Presentations must be original and aligned with the theme: Academic Integrity & Plagiarism
Each presentation must not exceed 5 minutes
Students are required to submit their names at the earliest
Attendance is mandatory for all participants enrolled in academic programs
Certificates of achievement/appreciation will be awarded to participants
