The ability to communicate with clarity and confidence is one of the most powerful skills any student can develop. To support this, JU proudly presents the Bilingual Speech Contest 2025, an event that celebrates eloquence, articulation, and bilingual excellence in both Arabic and English.

This contest aims to inspire students to express ideas effectively, strengthen public speaking abilities, and embrace the value of language versatility in formal communication.

About the Contest

Participants will have the opportunity to deliver a prepared speech in either Arabic or English. Those who want to demonstrate their bilingual mastery may deliver speeches in both languages, showcasing not just content, but cultural awareness, clarity of thought, and linguistic fluency.

Students are free to select any suitable topic of their choice, provided the theme respects academic, ethical, and community standards.

Event Format

The contest will be conducted in two separate sessions:

• Male Participants’ Session – First half of the event
• Female Participants’ Session – Second half of the event
  (No male attendees will be present during the female session)

Rules & Participation Guidelines

• Each participant must deliver one speech in Arabic or English
• Those who wish to do both may deliver speeches in both languages
• Speech duration: 3 to 5 minutes
• Language must remain respectful. Offensive, political, or inappropriate speech is not allowed
• Judging criteria will include:
  • content quality
  • delivery & articulation
  • pronunciation
  • confidence
  • audience engagement

Awards & Recognition

Winners and participants will be awarded prizes and Certificates of Achievement.
