Freshman Admission

Application Requirements
  1. A minimum of 70% on the 12th grade in the UAE secondary school certificate or its equivalent.
  2. High school graduation certificate earned within the past three years
  3. Students applying for science majors must be Science Track high school graduates.
  4. English Proficiency Certificates as detailed below:

Transfer Students Admission

Application Requirements
  1. Must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 on scale of 4.0.
  2. Transfer students must be from a university or college recognized or accredited by the Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs in the UAE.
  3. Earned grade of the transferred course is C or higher.
  4. Transferred credit courses are at the same academic level.
  5. Transfer credits are on a 15+ week semester basis and face-to-face teaching hours per week. Quarter credits are calculated at 2/3 credit value of semester credits, with fractions of credits dropped.
  6. Transfer students must meet admission requirements for English language proficiency.
  7. Pass Interview.
  8. Evaluation of transcripts will be conducted after a student has applied for admission at JU.

Application Requirements
  1. Enroll at JU for one semester or one Summer Term.
  2. Obtain written permission from home university to be enrolled at JU (indicating the course(s) to be registered for).
  3. Sign a document indicating the student’s full responsibility regarding the transferability of the courses taken at
  4. Register for classes approved by one of the department chairs in the student’s respective college.
  5. Meet the various academic and course prerequisite requirements.
  6. Meet the language proficiency requirements of the selected course of study.
  7. Submit completed online Admission Application Form along with the required documents listed in the following checklist:
     Visiting UAE national or UAE resident students admission application checklist.
     Visiting international students admission application checklist.
