Freshman Admission

Application Requirements
  1. A minimum of 70% on the 12th grade in the UAE General or Advanced secondary school certificate or its equivalent.
  2. Secondary school graduation certificate earned within the past 3 years and not more than 10 years.
  3. Students applying for science majors must be Science Track high school graduates.

Freshman with Conditional Admission
(For students who do not have the required the English language Proficiency Certificates.)

Application Requirements

Transfer Students Admission

Application Requirements
  1. Must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 on scale of 4.0.
  2. Transfer students must be from a university or college recognized or Licensed by the Ministry of Education in the UAE.
  3. Earned grade of the transferred course is C or higher.
  4. Transferred credit courses are at the same academic level.
  5. Transfer credits are on a 15+ week semester basis and face-to-face teaching hours per week. Quarter credits are calculated at 2/3 credit value of semester credits, with fractions of credits dropped.
  6. Transfer students must meet admission requirements for English language proficiency either for the university or the program requirement.
  7. Pass Interview.
  8. Evaluation of transcripts will be conducted after a student has applied for admission at JU.

Application Requirements
  1. Enroll at JU for one semester or one Summer Term.
  2. Obtain written permission from home university to be enrolled at JU (indicating the course(s) to be registered for).
  3. Sign a document indicating the student’s full responsibility regarding the transferability of the courses taken at
  4. Register for classes approved by one of the department chairs in the student’s respective college.
  5. Meet the various academic and course prerequisite requirements.
  6. Meet the language proficiency requirements of the selected course of study.

Application Requirements
  1. Enroll at JU for one semester or one Summer Term.
  2. Obtain written permission from the student’s home university to be enrolled at JU indicating the course(s) to be registered for.
  3. Sign a document indicating that he/she takes full responsibility regarding the transferability of the courses taken at JU.
  4. Register for classes approved by one of the department chairs in the student’s respective college.
  5. Meet the various academic and course prerequisite requirements.
  6. Non-native Arabic speaking students must pass JU Arabic Placement Test.
  7. English Proficiency Certificates as detailed below:

Post Graduate Entry Requirements

Freshman Admission

  1. Must have a bachelor’s degree with a grade not less than (3 GPA) in the same specialization of the Master’s degree from a recognized university by the Ministry of Education in UAE.
  2. Certificate of Good Conduct.
  3. Scientific Recommendation letter from 2 faculties who have already taught him/her in the Bachelor Degree
  4. To submit approval from his working place if he/she is an employee.
  5. English Proficiency Certificates with minimum score of 400 in TOEFL or 4 in IELTS or 825 EmSAT or Equivalent
  6. Pass JU interview.
  7. You need to describe in 500 words your interests and academic tendencies and why you have chosen to study the program you applying for, where do you see yourself in this field, and your current achievements.

Transfer Students Admission

  1. Must have a bachelor’s degree with a grade not less than (3 GPA) in the same specialization of the Master’s degree from a recognized university attested by the Ministry of Education in UAE.
  2. Certificate of Good Conduct.
  3. Scientific Recommendation letter from 2 faculties who have already taught him/her in the Bachelor Degree
  4. To submit approval from his working place if he/she is an employee.
  5. English Proficiency Certificates with minimum score of 400 in TOEFL or 4 in IELTS or 825 EmSAT or its Equivalent
  6. Pass JU interview.
  7. You need to describe in 500 words your interests and academic tendencies and why you have chosen to study the program you applying for, where do you see yourself in this field, and your current achievements.
  8. The previous enrollment must be from a university or college accredited by the Ministry of Education, with an average rating of at least 3 out of 4.
  9. The transfer is only acceptable from educational institutions that require their students to actually attend the campus.
  10. Provide an official statement of grades, along with the syllabus of each course to consider their relevance to the program you intend to join it.
  11. The language of the transferred program is identical to the language of the program at the University of Jumeira Arabic language. Some general requirements are excluded from this requirement.
  12. The maximum number of credit hours that can be transferred are not more than 9 credit hours of the corresponding courses, provided that the grade estimation is at least very good.
  13. The student should not be disciplined from any university.

Conditional Admission

  1. If the student completes all admission requirements except for the average grade, and his average is above 2.5 and less than 3, the student will be accepted with condition to maintain accumulative average of 3.0 in the first term, and his/her total number of bachelor’s degree courses should be greater than 2.7 GPA.
  2. If the student completes the admission requirements except for passing the English language test, the student will be accepted on probation with condition to pass the English language test determined by the college within one year from admission.

Visiting Students Admission

  1. Regular students at a university or other college accredited by the Ministry of Education in United Arab Emirates are allowed to study at the Jumeira University for one semester provided that the conditions are met.
  2. The student obtains written permission from his university to study the indicating course (s) to be registered) at Jumeira University; provided that the permission is issued by the dean of the faculty at his/her university. The student must also sign a document stating that he is fully responsible for the legalization of the transfer in respect of the courses he / she registered at Jumeira University.
  3. Student should submit an official mark sheet issued by his / her university to the Jumeira University.
  4. Student should register courses approved by one of the heads of department in his / her university, with the need to provide a mark sheet, so that the academic adviser to make a recommendation on the courses suitable for the applicant.
  5. The student should meet different academic admission requirements.
  6. The student should pay the tuition fees in addition to the admission fees and the registration fees.
  7. Proof of language proficiency for the course he / she wants to study at Jumeira University.
